For the Bride:
Planning A Wedding...

The Forever Checklist
1) On a frequent basis (whether once or twice a week), set aside time to study God's Word with your fiance before he becomes your husband. This can be done over the phone or in person. It does not have to be everyday - as should be your own quiet time with the LORD. It does not have to be formal. But make a practice of discussing certain things from a Biblical standpoint before the wedding. As iron sharpens iron, feed off of each other's Biblical insights now. Whether you discuss a movie, news, events happening around you, or a mere thought. Then, when you are married, you will already have a practice of communicating about the Bible. But as a married couple, you will then have more time to actually make those discussions your devotions together on a more frequent basis.
2) Download this blank spreadsheet for managing your budget. You are going to need it. Add all of your bills on in the chart, including rent/mortgage, utilities, credit cards, other service providers, and other loans. Fill out your information under its applicable column.
3) Do you know any committed Christian couples who have been married over 10 years? Did they get together under the right circumstances? (Meaning: Neither of them, having been in the faith at the time, took the other from another spouse before marrying each other.) If you can find a couple like that, stay in contact with them for advice. You as a wife, seek advice from the wife. And pray that your husband will seek advice from the husband. And get together as a couple from time to time. But don't drown them with your problems by holding them unfairly accountable for what happens in your marriage and don't let any strife that may arise within your marriage inadvertently attack the other couple as a result.
4) You will learn as a woman who wants a God-fearing husband to keep all vulgar movies and print material out of your home. Don't think that just because he is not into pornography that he cannot be vulnerable to sensual images that are thrown in our faces everyday through media. As you guard your own eyes, take wise steps in helping guard you husband's eyes as well.
5) Place some recipes under your belt. You can find some by clicking here.
